முத்தன்ன வெண்ணகையாய்
முன்வந் தெதிரெழுந்தேன்
அத்தன் ஆனந்தன் அமுதனென் றள்ளாறித்
தித்திக்கப் பேசுவாய் வந்துன் கடை திறவாய்
பத்துடையீர் ஈசன்பழ அடியீர் பாங்குடையீர்
புத்தடியோம் புன்மைதீர்த்தாட் கொண்டாற்
பொல்லாதோ
எத்தோனின் அன்புடைமை எல்லோம்
அறியோமோ
சித்தம் அழகியார் பாடாரோ நம்சிவனை
இத்தனையும் வேண்டும்

O Fair one, with a pearl-like charming smile! You once did rise before any of us, and with your heart brimming with sweetness, sing the glory of our lord, – calling Him your Father, your Bliss, your Ambrosia… Come, open your door!
(the girl addressing her friends:)
“Dear Friends, would it be a mistake if you would forgive my mistakes, rectify them, and lead me on to the right path?!”
(the group of friends, addressing the girl who cannot be roused from bed:)
O Dear! Do we not know your love? Do not the beautiful and noble ones sing of our Dear Lord Shiva? Come, let us immerse ourselves in it, and partake of it.

சேஷனே போற்றி!
அருவமும் உருவமுமானாய் போற்றி!
ஆரா அமுதே அருளால போற்றி!
ஆட்பட்டவருக்கு
அன்பு மிக காட்டுபவரே போற்றி!
துவக்கமும், நடுவும், முடிவும்,
ஆகிய அனைத்தமாய் இருப்பவரே போற்றி!
உனது திருவிளையாடடலில்
வெற்றியின் வடிவு கொண்டவ்ரே போற்றி!
திருவண்ணாமலை யில்
நீ ஸ்தூலமாய் இருந்தாலும்,
பக்தர்களின் இதயமே
உன் திருக்கோவில் போற்றி!
அருள் பசியை போக்கும் அருளே போற்றி!
ஸாம்ப ஸதாசிவா! சேஷா போற்றி!
ஸம்போ கங்கா! சேஷா போற்றியே!

The Lord Gods of the Universe, who had been yearning to have a glimpse of His Divine Feet, have been blinded by their Supreme Radiance! Our Lord comes to us to Grace us with a glimpse of His Beautiful Lotus Feet…
The Lord of the kingdom of Shiva, the Lord of Thillai! How much we do adore Him, Love Him! Please dwell upon our words, upon the Love of our Lord….

கண்டேன் சேஷன் மலர்பாதம்,
கண்டதுமே எல்லா கர்ம வினைகளும்
காணாமல் போனதே!
கண்கண்ட தெய்வமாம் சேஷனை,
கண்ணார கண்டவருக்கு,
கர்ம வினை கட்டவிழ்ந்து போகுமே!
Beheld I, the Lotus Feet of Lord SeshaNatha!
And as I did, disappeared all my sin and suffering…
He is freed from suffering and bondage,
who beholds our Lord
in craving, in ecstasy…
SeshaNatha, our Deity

ஆதியும் அந்தமும் இல்லா அரும்பெருஞ்
சோதியை யாம்பாடக் கேட்டேயும் வாள்தடங்கண்
மாதே வளருதியோ வன்செவியோ நின்செவிதான்
மாதேவன் வார்கழல்கள் வாழ்த்திய வாழ்த்தொலிபோய்
வீதிவாய்க் கேட்டலுமே விம்மிவிம்மி மெய்மறந்து

Are your ears so hard of hearing? The note of the hymn in praise of the Beautiful Feet of the Lord of the Lords, that reaches your ears, at the turn of the street, makes one sob hard, lost, and intoxicated in His Divine Love….
She does not desire anything, anymore…O, what of her state!
Yet you lie on your flower strewn bed, unmoved, deep in slumber. Is this your true state, my lady? What is it that you feel?

செந்தாமரைப் பூவின் இதழ்களை,
சேஷனின் செந்நிறதிருவடிகளில்,
தூவி தூவி பாடுவோமே!
செவ்வரளிப் பூக்களை,
சேஷனின் மலர்ப் பாதங்களில்
மனம் ஒன்றி சாற்றுவோமே!
பிச்சிப் பூக்களை,
பரப்ப்ரம்மத்தின் பஞ்சு போன்ற பாதங்களில்,
பணிவுடன் சமர்ப்பணம் செய்வோமாக!
சேஷ ப்ரம்மத்தின் பற்றற்ற பாதங்களை,
பேரானந்தத்துடன் பற்றிவிட்டால்,
சேஷனும் நம்மை கரை சேர்த்து விடுவாரே!
சேஷப்ரம்மத்தின் பாதங்களில்
குடி கொண்டுள்ள காலாக்னி,
நம் வினைகளைப் பொசுக்கிடும் அல்லவோ!
பக்தர்களின் வாழ்க்கையும்,
பசுமை நிறைந்த சோலை ஆகிவிடும் அல்லவோ!
Let us sing the glory of our Lord,
with the petals of the pink lotus
strewn upon His Feet, beautiful and ruddy…
At His radiant Feet,
we lay our hearts, with the blushing oleander.
In all humility, we offer
at the Tender Feet of our Supreme Lord,
the Picci flower.
O Lord SeshaNatha!
I cling to Your Sovereign Feet, in ecstasy..
You are my Saviour, my Lord!
O Destroyer of Evil,
At the touch of Thy Glorious Feet,

Mesmerized am I, by His slender rubicund feet, tender like a flower blossom, adorned by jingling anklets…
Do we not partake of the Golden dust that His Precious Feet have tread on? Do we not anoint His delicate Feet with milk and honey and sandal, and bedeck them with the freshest and fragrant of flowers? Do we not hasten to have one glimpse of those Lovely Feet, ornate with pearls and gems? Do we not lay our hearts at His Glorious Feet that set our hearts aflutter, and leave them pining for Him…..
