Om Sathguru Sri Seshadri Swamigal Thiruvadikkae

As a means to cherish the beautiful memories we had with our Reverend and Beloved Guruji and Sesha Mahaan, and by way of expressing our love, devotion, gratitude and respect to our Master and Lord, and to the sacred town of Thiruvannamalai, our sacred abode, we wish to extol the Glory of our Lord Sri SivaSesha, through reviving verses from the sacred “Thiruvempaavai”, in a new spirit, in unison with verses from our Mahaan’s Divine “Sesha Paamaalaigal.”

“One who doesn’t melt for ThiruvAchakam, would melt for no other words.”

Avathar and Mahaan Sri Seshadri Swamigal, SeshaBrahmmam, Avathara Purusha, Siddha Purusha, BrahmmaNda Naayakaa (Lord of the Universe), ShivaShakthi Swaroopa (Incarnation of Lord Shiva and Shakthi), Satchidananda Swaroopaa, The Mahaan of Mahaans,

The Incarnation of God, Lord Sri Arunachaleshwara…

Set in the beautiful Thiruvannamalai, abode of Lord Sri Arunachaleshwara, the nectarine Thiruvempaavai, (a section of the sacred composition in praise of Lord Shiva, composed by the holy saint mANikkavAchakar), is a soul-awakening ritual observed by young women, in the Tamil month of Margazhi (15th. December – 15th. January).

The Love of the Lord

awakens love in the heart of His Bhaktha.

The essence of Thiruvempaavai is to awaken the soul from its slumber, from the distractions and delusions of the transient materialistic world (maya); to help focus the mind and heart on the Lord, and revel in the delight of His devotion!

The Beloved Lord of the Universe comes down to His dear one…

Mesmerized am I, by His slender rubicund feet, tender like a flower blossom, adorned by jingling anklets…

Do we not partake of the Golden dust that His Precious Feet have tread on? Do we not anoint His delicate Feet with milk and honey and sandal, and bedeck them with the freshest and fragrant of flowers? Do we not hasten to have one glimpse of those Lovely Feet, ornate with pearls and gems? Do we not lay our hearts at His Glorious Feet that set our hearts aflutter, and leave them pining for Him…..
